About Vajra

Vajra was born and raised in Laguna Beach, frequenting the temples and jungles of Yucatán as a child, his mother’s native land. He has drawn his whole life, but began a self-guided exploration in acrylics in 2009. He paints to tell stories he feels will inspire and improve the world around us. There is no one source of inspiration behind his works, rather each piece is unique, drawing inspiration from across cultures, space and time, which he weaves together in a synthesis of all that matters in the moment. After painting for over a decade Vajra has begun teaching as well, he feels like this is his next great calling - sharing his insight and technique with other artists making art for the betterment of all.
